‘Fugitives in pursuit of a better life’?
Nederlander Rene Hartman’s latest thoughtful comment appears as the 21st response under my recent posting “Setting Up the Straw Man,” below. I realize traffic falls off for the comments under a week-old column — especially if said “comments” column is clogged with repetitive sneers from someone who declines to cite or contribute facts, real-world examples, or logical arguments, instead merely donning the cape of a self-appointed Bishop of the Church of Libertarian Purity and dismissing as “evil” any viewpoint differing from his own.
So here’s Rene’s latest, well worth reading, as a separate post:
Brunette, Vin,
Thoughtful responses. Not sure if I read Vin’s section on ‘showing my papers’ correctly, as my point is that with the current state of affairs, a call for closed borders will end up in you having t show your papers while the colonists will keep being imported, their entry not affected by those ‘closed borders’ at all.
Proof? http://www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/26083109/__Van_Amstel_redt_150_migranten__.html will tell you (through google translate) how the Dutch Navy does not protect the outer borders of Europe but actually conducts a ferry-service. A Frontex surveilance plane will spot boats with migrants at sea and the border ‘guards’ will pick ‘m up and ferry them ashore, in Europe, not at their embarkment point outside the border. For this frigate alone it’s the third such action in 10 days, willfully importing 578 colonists in total.
For those who still are of the opinion that these people are fugitives in pursuit of their happiness and a better life, read this:
In Calais, 7.000 violent migrants are trying to get to the UK while shouting slogans showing they hate and despise that country, showing they want to conquer, not to assimilate. Now the UK has voted to exit the EU, and control its own borders again, France has already threatened to allow those colonists to cross the Channel by way of punishment, implicitly giving the very clear message these colonists are indeed a plague, not the ‘enrichment’ they’ve claimed them to be over the past few months, despite multiple rapes, robberies and violemt acts of vandalism. https://www.rt.com/news/348308-calais-brexit-borders-migrants/
As far as the ‘new model of warfare’ goes: it’s not so new, IMHO, but a thinly disguised variety of the old one. Now the war is through politics, ‘laws’ and regulations, instead of a massive attack with guns and tanks/planes which receives a massive response. But the guns still come out as soon as anyone refuses to obey those new ‘laws’ and regulations. BIG difference is that this disobedience will not be massive, and can thus easily be contained, while painting the individual defying the state in the media as a ‘loner’, a ‘disturbed character’ or even a (dangerous) ‘criminal’, and emphasize how lucky we are to have a state to ‘protect’ us…
Much more effective that way.
Thomas,
All libertarians are authoritarians; they are the master of their own castle. They just don’t pretend to have any saying about other people’s property, including their minds, bodies and lives. But if those other people pretend exactly that, they will need to be dealt with. If you think you can live peacefully among people with the explicit outspoken intent to kill you, you must be a liberal. And as Vin says: should we pretend there is no state, no islam, no liberals and ignore all the attacks they perform on liberty just because they do not fit the philosophy of individual freedom? When you live in a collectivist world, as alas we do, we cannot avoid all collectivist responses, no matter how we’d love to.
Please bear in mind that it was an American muslim who said, some years ago: “If you want to be safe from islam, you will have to deport ALL muslims, including myself, as you’ll never know whom you can trust. As I love the country. I’d hate that to happen, but if you want to be safe, you’ll need to do it”. So how’s that for a collectivist statement? Collectivists only understand (and love) collectivism, while anarchists (the property rights respecting kind) love their freedom and peaceful coexistence.

Agreed, very much Vin and Brunette. Open borders will only be possible when individuals accept personal responsibility for their lives and the non-voluntary government is history. Not expecting that anytime soon…
The question I have is how to deal with this now, how to close the borders and protect ourselves from the invading collectivists. Do we call on the collectivists in Washing DC to do that? I don’t see that working out…
Some sort of militia action, community by community? The statist collectivists in DC and state capitals are not going to allow that, I’m sure.
What can individuals and their voluntary communities do about this?

Dear Mama, heavens, I wish I had answers for you . . it’s a vast, messy and complex issue. I’m appalled to realize how long it took me to wake up to something so chilling, yet so imminent and seemingly ubiquitous.
It’s too bad Thomas seemed uninterested in grasping Vin’s concerns, which it seems the rest of us (so far) have agreed are legitimate, even if there’s also some legitimate disagreement about particulars.
The first, most important step IMO, is acknowledging that there IS a problem — asking what we CAN do about it, individually and as communities. Communicating with others, who might have answers . . . or who might simply be blissfully unaware, (as I was) yet have so much at stake if only they knew it. Awareness is key.
Catherine Austin Fitts often relays a story of talking with her pastor (on the subject of drug-related crime, I think) who said, “If we can face it, God can fix it.” (It might be equally truly said, that: Unless we humans can face it, we CAN’T fix it.)
Since audio links probably aren’t helpful for you, I’d suggest this important article by Elaine Willman: http://www.newswithviews.com/Willman/elaine100.htm
BTW: For those who might prefer the audio links instead, please find them here . . .
https://vinsuprynowicz.com/?p=2982 (The John B. Wells interview is long, but I recommend it — there are also links to shorter clips.)
Here are some excerpts from Elaine’s article (which again, I highly recommend in its entirety):
“The Obama Administration has determined that integrating domestic tribalism (Native American Tribal governments) with Middle Eastern tribalism is good “economic development” for America’s Indian tribes. This chilling concoction and merging of tribalism bodes serious peril for America as discussed below ( . . . )
A quick glance at any map will confirm the existence of major dams, nuclear and power sources located on or near Indian reservations in the West. ( . . . ) the merger of domestic and Middle Eastern tribalism in proximity of our water and power grid is a true terrorism risk.
Domestic tribalism and Middle Eastern tribalism have shared cultural norms (communalism) and a common adversary: the United States. The White House views big Middle Eastern money (Turkey, Saudi Arabia, etc.) tucked away on private Indian tribal “trust” lands as good for Indians and America. Tribal trust land is off-limits to all state and local government eyes. We should be extremely concerned. For the doubtful, visit the http://www.aljazeera.com website to see how significantly America’s Indian tribes are being tracked and engaged. Just enter the search word “tribe.”
We will now have wealthy little Sharia compounds on Indian reservations to add to the 190 cities designated to receive Syrian refugees. Obama is polka-dotting the entire country with Sharia enclaves to enrich Indian tribes and reflect our generous heart for immigrants. Our blind, deaf and dormant Congress has held its nose and endorsed all of this.
Promises made by Congress to “Go West Young Man” were just as valid and perpetual as any promise made to Indian tribes. It was Young Man who built the first schools, churches, small towns, farms and ranches, all on the faith that Congress provided in Homestead and other Acts. Young Man built this country. For the past several decades, however, promises made to settlers and their descendants have been politically stained and reversed. America should not have sent Young Man West. Indian tribes want their reservations and “aboriginal lands” restored to their natural habitat. Every non-Indian should be shamefully sorry forever, and gone soon. The lack of appreciation for Young Man and coddling of tribal governments is chilling.”
In the interests of brevity and fair use, I left out a lot of important stuff. Please, just go and read the whole article. Especially if you live in the western U.S., although it’s bound to affect all Americans in the coming years.
Also, R. Hartman’s comments are always well worth reading, and particularly so on the “Setting Up the Straw Man” post. Make sure not to miss his other comments, if you haven’t yet read them . . . I know it’s an awfully long comment thread, but he makes some great observations and we’re grateful to him for them. 🙂

Yes, dear friend. I’m well aware of the problem. That is fairly simple, the details mostly symptoms of it… and valuable to help reveal the real problem to those not aware, as you say. I know you don’t have the answers, any more than do I… and that’s another problem.
So, since we don’t have a real answer and are not apt to find one, I fear the world will spiral into chaos and destruction… at least for a while. Nothing lasts forever, though if it lasts longer than a man’s lifetime it would seem to be… It is no real comfort, but remember that “this too shall pass.” It will eventually play itself out, and the survivors will have another chance.

Wow, a modest comment promoted to an article in itself… I must say I’m honored.
Earlier this month, June 18, Frontex stated it expects 300.000 more immigrants from Libya which was hardly mentioned in the Dutch press but al over the German press. Makes you wonder how they know; well, they’re recruted. It’s called EuroMed. Enter the Barcelona Agreement of 1995: http://balder.org/avisartikler/Barcelona-Declaration-Euro-Mediterranean-English.php
Earlier this year, Dutch public TV aired a documentary from Lesbos, aimed at getting popular support for these poor refugees, in which a telling remark was made by one of the interviewed people. The guy stated he had been there for 1,5 years but could not get further, and that if he had known everything in advance he would never had made the trip, as he had a home, a job and a life ‘back home’. Needless to say the matter was not pursued, and in fact I was surprised it had even suvived the cutting table.
But all those little tell-tales show it’s organized. Carl “Bear” Bussjaeger writes at his blog:
“Personally, I’d be all in favor of completely unregulated immigration if we totally dismantled the welfare/SS/disability/WIC/EBT/food stamp/Section 8/Obamacare/etc giveaways that attract freeloaders instead of people who want to better themselves.”
I couldn’t agree more. But he’s right on the money: this invasion is not unregulated, it’s highly organized. If it were unregulated, we would not be seeing these masses of people (mainly young, healthy, strong men, who should be busy building their home country). Where do these people get the money to get onto a plane (where they always come off without a passport (but are allowed to enter the country anyway), so question is: how did they get on?) or pay the people-traders the money to get aboard those ships they need to be recued from? Well, they’re getting it from EuroMed, which recruits them and persuades/bribes them to leave their life and stir up the ‘civil’ population of Europe.
Anyone with half a brain cell that’s not been deactivated by propaganda in Bismarck’s public ‘school’ system can do the math and see there’s something incredibly illogical in the reasoning of the rulers, it just doesn’t make sense. But people are not interested in politics, politics are boring, they cannot change things anyway, etc., etc. They do not even realize that their lives are run in detail by a bunch of crooks who claim to be their legitimate leaders, while in the best of cases they should only be servants.
And then there are the people who don’t want to wake up as it’s too much of an assault on their comfort zone. True, once you see it, there’s no ‘unseeing’ it anymore. But ‘seers’ I talk to don’t want to ‘unsee’ it, they’re happy (like me) to see through the lies they’re being fed.
The references Brunette makes to the reservations turning into sharia enclaves (likely at the expense of the Indians) I recognize from an earlier post she did, are manifestations from the very same tactics. In 2007(!) I wrote about how Western governments prepare for genocide on the white race (http://hvv.amsterdampost.nl/HVV/www.hetvrijevolk.com/index0bd9-2.html?pagina=5017) It’s in Dutch, so hopefully Google Translate will build something legible from it. Someone wrote that was unfounded (see response dialog at the bottom), but it would appear that it was not too far off. And it’s happening world wide, in the US by a usurper president that constitutionally never could’ve been POTUS; in Europe by a bunch of unelected crooks, supported by their (s)elected fellow crooks.
Got to leave it at this, as it’s well past midnight and I need to work again later today. Nothing beats Customer Satisfaction. Sleep well.
