A single army to rule all Europe? What on earth would they call it?

Monday, November 12th, 2018

In his speech at this Sunday’s official ceremony “marking a hundred years since the U.S. (and England — ed.) saved France from Germany and ended World War I, French President Emmnauel Macron took a direct swipe at President Donald Trump and his voters,” reports Caroline Glick at Breitbart News ( https://www.breitbart.com/middle-east/2018/11/12/caroline-glick-why-is-emmanuel-macron-attacking-trump/ .) Macron said that […]

When it comes to guns, ‘Impossibility of compliance is not a sufficient reason for invalidating a law’

Tuesday, September 11th, 2018

As I write this, the Florida Democrat party has just chosen as their 2018 gubernatorial nominee Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, who wants to abolish ICE — Immigration and Customs Enforcement — leaving immigration enforcement to desk-bound attorneys at the “Department of Justice,” thus opening our borders to millions of non-English-speaking illegal aliens, who know and […]

When do we start counting lamp posts and measuring hemp?

Tuesday, June 19th, 2018

Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell of California wants to ban “assault weapons” (by which he means semi-automatic hunting and target rifles, of course), install a federal gun “buy-back program” for those who own them (think you’d get to name your own price?), and criminally prosecute those who refuse to hand them over, reported Robert Donachie on […]

Just for the record . . .

Thursday, March 15th, 2018

A quick Internet search shows The New York Times, CNN — most of the usual suspects — trumpeting that Democrat and former federal drug prosecutor Conor Lamb (campaigning as a gun-loving conservative) won an “upset victory” (by 627 votes, out of more than 200,000 votes cast) over state legislator Rick Saccone in Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional […]

Wednesday, February 21st, 2018

19-year-old Nikolas de Jesus Cruz — who killed 17 former schoolmates at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Feb. 14 — had committed numerous serious crimes over the previous five years, including assault, but had no criminal record (which would have prevented him from buying firearms.)

‘Putting the bureau’s reputation at risk’

Wednesday, January 31st, 2018

The New York Times reports today (Jan. 31) that FBI officials “say privately” that President Trump, in approving the release of California congressman Devin Nunes’ “Illegal FISA Spying” memo, is “prioritizing politics over national security” and “putting the bureau’s reputation at risk.”

Bump stocks and the Bill of Rights

Thursday, January 11th, 2018

The Senate Judiciary committee heard testimony Dec. 8 on a proposal to try to outlaw “bump stocks” — devices that allow light, modern, semi-automatic rifles to fire at rates similar to machine pistols.

If they knew who caused all these recurring deadly California wildfires, would they do anything? Wanna bet?

Sunday, October 15th, 2017

I see where 40 people have now died (with 5,700 homes destroyed) in wildfires along California’s central and north-central coast this month -– wildfires that are far hotter, more intense, more widespread, and harder to extinguish than would have been common 50 years ago.
