A single army to rule all Europe? What on earth would they call it?
In his speech at this Sunday’s official ceremony “marking a hundred years since the U.S. (and England — ed.) saved France from Germany and ended World War I, French President Emmnauel Macron took a direct swipe at President Donald Trump and his voters,” reports Caroline Glick at Breitbart News ( https://www.breitbart.com/middle-east/2018/11/12/caroline-glick-why-is-emmanuel-macron-attacking-trump/ .) Macron said that the “ancient demons” that caused World War I and millions of deaths are growing stronger.
“Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism. Nationalism is the betrayal of patriotism,” Macron pronounced, as Trump and other world leaders looked on.
(Only if “the nation” and “the fatherland” — from the Latin “patria” — are “exact opposites,” Emmanuel. But maybe French dictionaries have changed since last I studied them.)
He added, “In saying ‘Our interests first, whatever happens to the others,’ you erase the most precious thing a nation can have, that which makes it live, that which causes it to be great and that which is most important: Its moral values.”
(Ah. Spoken as a true globalist, Emmanuel. So we’re morally obliged to go bail out the Froggies every time they get their sensitive little butts whupped by the Krauts and promptly surrender — at a cost of tens or even hundreds of thousands of American (and British, and Canadian) lives? To station troops in Europe to defend them for 70 years, largely without payment, even as they insult us at every opportunity? Never to revise vastly unequal tariff barriers that let them drain us like the sacrifice at a bloodsuckers’ feast? Even when they inexplicably open their borders to masses of violent, aggressive Muslims with no desire to assimilate and become Europeans, who instead forthrightly announce their goal is to expand the “Caliphate” as far as rocky Brittany and the far-flung Orkney Islands? This is how you thank our President and First Lady for taking the long trip to chilly France? Interesting.)
Furthermore, Macron’s speech on Sunday was his second rhetorical assault against America in under a week, Ms. Glick reports. In a radio interview last Tuesday, Macron called for Europe to raise “a true European army,” to defend against the U.S., Russia and China.
In Macron’s words, “We have to protect ourselves with respect to China, Russia and even the United States of America.”
Wow. A single, pan-European army, manning battlements on every European border from the frozen wastes of Lapland, to the rocky northwest coasts of France, to Sicily and the boot of Italy in the south, and in the East to the Black Sea and the banks of the Dnieper?
What an idea! And surely such an army would have to be led by the best generals available, not the pathetic commanders of a nation that abjectly surrendered in 1870 and 1940, or squandered an entire generation by ordering them to charge into enemy machine guns over and over and over from 1914 to 1917.
No, the French would hardly be in command — any more than the current European Union is run by and for the benefit of French bankers.
What on earth do you suppose such a pan-European army would be called?
I know: . . .
. . . The “Wehrmacht.”

Not criticizing the above, but was waiting for a post-election analysis. Personally, disappointed at the result. (But not rioting in the streets like the 2016 losers.) Coulda better, coulda been a lot worse.

“Macron said that the “ancient demons” that caused World War I and millions of deaths are growing stronger.”
Well, the demons that caused World War 1 were indeed growing stronger, weren’t they? Until Donald Trump came around, of course.
Those demons, being democrats in power (Woodrow Wilson) enabling the FED, like democrats in Europe are enabling the ECB, turned a local conflict they had no business with into a World War, laying the groundwork for World War 2 while they were at it.
Macron would love to get on with the destruction of civilisation, getting his Fourth Reich aspirations followed up. And now he’s meeting resistance, he’s calling Trump the enemy. Sure Trump is Macron’s (and Merkel’s, and Rutte’s) enemy, but not the people’s. Those ‘European leaders’ are.
As so often, he’s projecting, a common practice among the left.

The iconic “crying Frenchman photo is of Monsieur Jerôme Barzetti, taken in Marseilles in September 1940.
Hitler insisted on France signing his surrender terms in the same railway carriage in Compiegne that was used when Germany had surrendered in 1918; this as a means of magnifying the total humiliation of the French, as if the instantaneous overwhelming of the Maginot Line by blitzkrieg had not been enough. We could learn a lot from history if we were willing. Santayana wept.

Germany did not “overwhelm the Maginot Line”. They were not stupid: They went around it.

Q: Why did the French plant trees along the Champs-Elysees leading to the Arc de Triomphe?
A: So the German army could march in the shade.

Re: “In Macron’s words, ‘We have to protect ourselves with respect to China, Russia and even the United States of America.'”
President Macron is a globalist, a cultural Marxist and – as his comments attest – a budding neo-fascist, just like his good friends EU President Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister May of Britain, and Chancellor Merkel of Germany.
Macron et al. claim they need an EU military force to protect Europe, but since that is what NATO is supposed to do, they can’t really be telling the truth. The question ought to be asked: Would such a force, if the European Union establishes it, be used to protect the EU nations against external threats – or as a de facto occupation force designed to enforce the increasingly draconian diktats coming out of Brussels?
The latter seems the case, especially in light of the fact that the EU has done precisely nothing to protect native Europeans in places like France from the predations of the millions of Muslims and other third-world immigrants which they have insisted be brought into western and northern Europe. In fact, Macron is already on record as telling the French people that they will just have to “accept” many more immigrants, including a great many more Muslims.
It is becoming quite evident that the NWO globalists have entered into some sort of modus vivendi with Islam and the Muslims. Macron, May, Merkel, Juncker, et al. are doing their very best to sweep the violence, chaos and bloodshed caused by the “new arrivals” from the Islamic world – under the rug. When that proves impossible, they accuse critics of their policies of “Islamophobia,” and push harder to criminalize criticism of Islam in places where it is still legal.
It is certainly within the realm of possibility that Macron, May, Merkel, et al. have already converted to Islam. At the very least they are already acting like dhimmis – people subjugated by Muslims and living under Islamic rule. Their evidence sympathy for the Muslims is quite open now; no attempt is being made to hide it.
