There was a school shooting in Parkland, Florida, Feb. 14. (Former?) student Nikolas de Jesus Cruz (who was reportedly a subject of bullying there) used a .223-caliber, one-shot-per-trigger-pull rifle (not an “automatic weapon” as claimed by Democratic Florida Sen. Bill Nelson.) Young de Jesus Cruz left 17 dead, dozens more injured.
I’ve been interviewed plenty of times — mostly on the radio. I’ve even conducted an interview, here and there.
I believe I hear the fellow from CNN (who appears to close his eyes while firing) saying of the AR-15 “It’s a weapon designed to inflict maximum damage,” here:

The New York Times reports today (Jan. 31) that FBI officials “say privately” that President Trump, in approving the release of California congressman Devin Nunes’ “Illegal FISA Spying” memo, is “prioritizing politics over national security” and “putting the bureau’s reputation at risk.”
The Senate Judiciary committee heard testimony Dec. 8 on a proposal to try to outlaw “bump stocks” — devices that allow light, modern, semi-automatic rifles to fire at rates similar to machine pistols.

Anger can cloud the mind. Generally better to seek calm. But anger can also tell us when we’ve let things go long enough. Isn’t anyone else angry? Really?
Thinking about it, I figure I had at least four good reasons for wanting to give U.S. Sen. Al Franken, Minnesota Democrat-Farmer-Labor, the benefit of the doubt.
